Needing a place to spend Christmas with my family this year, I am so very happy we found the cabin and have no words to thank Tina! The cabin is not only beautifully decorated, but done so in a away that makes it feel so warm and comfortable. Cooking Christmas dinner for my large family was no problem as the well equipped kitchen had everything I would find in my own kitchen. The living room and kitchen are so spacious that there was ample room for all of us to eat, relax, and open presents around the Christmas tree with both rooms decorated very festively thanks to Tina's gracious offer of her Christmas decorations! I would definitely recommend staying at The Red House River Cabin not only for the amazing property it is but also due to the fact that Tina truly goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful.

This was our first time renting the cabin in Deposit New York. The cabin has six beds and sleeps sleeps seven comfortably. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked. It was clean and very spacious. We had a wonderful time, and I'm looking forward to next year. Our plans, at this time, is to rent it every year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the Red House River Cabin in August 2015. Tina and John are fantastic hosts, responsive to our questions and concerns.. All their recommendations for restaurants, activities and fly-fishing were superb. We really felt at home in this spacious, lovingly decorated and cozy getaway. My husband and son enjoyed fly-fishing for the first time with a Red House recommended guide. It was peaceful to walk along the river in front of the cabin with our dogs and watch the mist that sometimes rises up at dusk. We are looking forward to scheduling another visit!

The Red House River Cabin is a gem. Spacious. Clean. Thoughtfully decorated and furnished. (Loved the master bed!). Fully equipped kitchen. Lovely living room/den area with games, puzzles, TV, etc. Everything you could possibly need and more! Whether looking north toward the mountains or south toward the river (which is literally across the street), the views are spectacular. We highly recommend a morning (or nighttime) fire in the cabin's firepit - an idyllic experience! Tina was super helpful and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we'll definitely be back. Thanks for everything!

P.S. Breakfast at Butterfields is a must. (The chocolate chip hot cakes are heavenly!) And if you like cats, they've got plenty to keep you company while you eat : )

The Red House River Cabin is everything as advertised, our group of 5 found the cabin to be spacious to give everyone room as needed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable; each bedroom had its own television which was a big plus at night. The cabin is supplied with everything one would need for a stay away from home, the only thing our group needed for our stay was the food we ate. The cabin is perfectly located to meet the recreational needs of our group. Our group is hoping to return to this cabin for many future stays.

Perfect location for the visiting fly fisherman with great water right in front of the house. House is well appointed, large kitchen with new appliances, kitchen island workspace and dining room. Plenty of room for 7 anglers. Comfortable living room and beds after a long day of fishing. Highly recommended, we already booked our week for next year.

Didn't know what to expect renting a cabin in Deposit, N.Y. It was one of the best relaxing vacations my wife and kids had in a long time. The house is great. The river is across the street and it's always busy with people fishing. There is a cute little town to grocery shop and eat good food. There is a lake not to far where you can swim as well as rent a row boat to fish. My kids loved it. The owners are wonderful. I would definitely go their again if you want a quiet vacation.

Tina and John provide more than you'd expect from a mountainside cabin. A clean, spacious, and exquisite river-front environment for fly fishers such as us, we're torn between spending time on the water or relaxing and enjoying the 5-star accommodations. The Red House River Cabin is delightfully decorated so that you feel right at home when you walk in. It is also scrupulously clean and orderly. The views from all the windows are of greenery. Tina was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. We were a party of 6 and had a wonderful time catching up with with each other and some R&R.
